Information regarding the recently added Slide Show feature:
Hi.
Slide Freebie is a popular slide show application from Artly There. The main workings of this are now installed into Compositor. There are however some functional differences, for features like Rename. Help is also available under the Help Menu choice for Slide Show Help.
Slide Show Controls Map:
Prior Image / Pause / Next Image / Zoom on/off
Auto Advance / Stop / Loop / Send To Trash
COMMAND-"O" will open the current slide image into the main Compositor workspace and end a show.
To run a show:
* Choose Slideshow Prefs... located in the File Menu.
Set your preferences according to the below.
* Choose Slideshow... adjust your preferred image filter and then select your desired folder.
The show will commence either automatically, or be paused depending on Auto Start setting.
COMMAND-"O" will open the current slide image into the main Compositor workspace and end a show.
"N" key (or "n") will open the Rename dialog. Enter a new filename, and choose Save.
Navigation During A Show:
Space Bar advances a slide, as does Left Arrow, Right Arrow keys on the keyboard. Up key will set pointer to image 1. Down key will set pointer to the last image in the show.
ESC key will stop a show, as well as Command-"." Or Stop button.
If Paused , you can still advance a show by controls, or arrow keys.
"B" key toggles background color.
Preferences:
There are several options.
Set and then choose "Apply" to engage the prefs.
Global
-Show Nested Folders
If this is set, then any folders inside the folder you choose will also be scanned.
Otherwise, if other folders exist also ,the file scan will only show those files in the topmost directory. Default is checked.
-Display Controls on Left/Right
Which side of the screen do the controls display on?
Default is Left.
Show
-AutoStart
If this is checked, then the show will start up as soon as the file scanning is completed. Otherwise, there will be a small window thrown up, which you can click to start the show.
-Randomize
This will show images at random from the list.
-Auto Advance
This if checked will show the images at the interval set in Advance Time.
-Advance Time
Only matters if Auto Advance is enabled. 1-9999 Seconds. Default is 5, and entry of 0 will be reset to 1 during a show.
-Loop
Loops the show.Control Button Toggles also.
-Enlarge Small Images
Zooms up smaller images to fill the screen. Control Button Toggles also.
Effects
-Funkadelica
This setting applies a Compositor filter (usually a ChannelWhack variety) to the slide image.
-Funkadelicate
This setting applies a Compositor filter (usually a ChannelWhack variety) to the slide image, but only after a short delay of about a half second for Before/After view.
-Display Effect Name
This setting shows the effect name, location dependent on the below settings.
-Trash Sounds
If this is set, Compositor plays a sounds when you send an image to the trash. Note: Send to trash can't be undone. Compositor doesn't delete them though, the image is still alive there for retrieval if you make a mistake.
Information
-Show File Name
Shows image file name.
-Show File Count
Shows current image number out of total.
-Center
Centers display of info from top left to bottom center.
